During his college basketball career, he became a two-time Northeast Conference first-team selection for the Seahawks. He closed his college basketball career by scoring 20-plus points in nine of his final ten games. In 1999, San Miguel acquired Seigle through coach Ron Jacobs as its direct hire Filipino-foreign cager, after the Philippine Basketball Association instituted a rule for every team to have one Filipino-foreign cager without going through the process of joining the rookie draft. Danny has an older brother named Andrew John who was then still playing for the Mobiline Phone Pals by the time Danny himself was acquired by the Beermen.
Seigle sparked big numbers for his team, making him win the 1999 PBA Rookie of the Year and led San Miguel to six championships to date during his career for a total of seven titles. In addition, he was also selected to be part of the RP Basketball Team twice (2002 and 2006), representing the country in various international basketball tournaments such as the FIBA Asia Olympic Qualifying Tournament, William Jones Cup, Global Hoops Summit and Brunei Cup.
After playing 12 successful years for the San Miguel Beermen, Seigle was traded to the Air 21 Express Team during PBA’s 2010-2011 season which is now called Barako Bull Energy Team.
On November 27, 2013, Danny signed with Talk ‘n Text Tropang Texters, one of the league’s powerhouses having won 5 titles in the last 5 years, from 2008-2013. He is looking forward to playing for and contributing to this multi-championship franchise.
